Privacy Policy

1. Data That Stays on Your Device

Pocket AI does not collect, store, process, or share your conversation content, prompts, generated responses, voice audio, attachments, or custom instructions. Calendar events, Reminders, source snapshots, projects, and Daily Briefs are also processed and stored locally.

2. On-Device Processing

AI inference is performed locally using your device's processor and memory. Your prompts and replies are not transmitted to an external AI server. Voice input is transcribed locally with Whisper. Daily Brief reads only the Calendar events and incomplete Reminders you choose, then generates the brief locally with a downloaded model.

3. Permissions

• Microphone — requested only after you use voice input; audio is transcribed on-device
• Calendar and Reminders — requested only when you connect each source for Daily Brief; content is read locally and is not uploaded
• Notifications and background refresh — used for best-effort Daily Brief preparation and a generic local readiness notification; iOS controls the timing

4. Third-Party Services

Pocket AI uses RevenueCat for the optional Pro purchase, purchase restoration, and entitlement checks. RevenueCat receives purchase history plus anonymous app-user and device identifiers needed to provide that functionality; it does not receive your prompts, replies, chats, voice audio, Calendar events, Reminders, or Daily Briefs. Apple processes App Store transactions under Apple's privacy policy.

Pocket AI also uses PostHog and Firebase/Google Analytics for the optional usage analytics described in section 5.

When you initiate a model or voice-pack download, the app connects to the file provider over HTTPS; the provider receives the network information normally needed to deliver the file. Pocket AI does not send chat or Daily Brief source content with these requests.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Pocket AI 3.1.5 sends content-free usage analytics to PostHog and Firebase/Google Analytics so we can see which features are used, whether model downloads succeed, and where the purchase flow breaks. These services receive a pseudonymous app identifier, categorical interaction events, ordinary network information such as your IP address, and the device and app context needed to provide analytics. Pocket AI associates that pseudonymous profile with the RevenueCat app-user ID so purchase outcomes can be measured against feature usage.

The app never sends message text, prompt bodies, conversation titles, voice audio, Calendar events, Reminders, Daily Brief content, attachments, contact information, or an advertising identifier.

Usage analytics is on by default and can be turned off at any time under Privacy settings in the app. Pocket AI does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, serves no ads, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. No crash-reporting SDK ships in the app.

This website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and page usage, and to count clicks that lead to the App Store. Google Analytics may process the page URL, browser and device information, approximate location, cookies, and network information needed to provide these reports. We disable Google Signals and advertising-personalization features, and we do not send contact-form contents, chat content, or other text you enter to Google Analytics.

6. Data Deletion

You can turn off usage analytics under Privacy settings in the App. You can disconnect Daily Brief sources and delete their local snapshots in the App. You can also remove downloaded models or delete the App to remove locally stored conversations, settings, sources, Daily Briefs, and model files. Purchase records may remain with RevenueCat and Apple, and content-free analytics events already collected may remain with PostHog and Google, under their policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Pocket AI 3.1.5 is rated 18+ because downloaded open models may generate unrestricted text. We do not knowingly collect conversation content from any user.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
